Fraccaroli Family: Amarone producers in Valpolicella for generations
For generations the Fraccaroli family, known as “Matìo”, has passionately grown vines in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, in San Pietro in Cariano.
The winery’s history began in 1946 with grandfather Giovanni who, returning from the war, started winemaking, producing Valpolicella and Recioto from the first estate vineyards. Later, led by father Mario and mother Teodora, the company grew: expanding vineyards, adding new varieties, Amarone, Ripasso, and direct sales.
Today the estate covers 12 hectares between Valpolicella and Bardolino, with vineyards in hilly and flat areas, trained in the traditional Veronese pergola system. Harvesting is done exclusively by hand, with careful grape selection for the various wine types.
In 2010, after enology studies, son Flavio took over; with father Mario and sister Daniela, he continues the family work, blending tradition and innovation in the vineyards, cellar, and hospitality. Winemaking and aging are managed directly to ensure high quality and identity of the wines.
The cellar produces the great Valpolicella classics — Amarone, Recioto, Ripasso and Valpolicella Classico Superiore — alongside labels expressing the character of the family and territory.

Amarone della Valpolicella wine production: tradition and innovation
For generations, FlaTío has refined its Amarone production techniques, skillfully combining ancient Valpolicella’s winemaking tradition with modern innovation. The result is a wine of extraordinary quality that captures the surrounding territory’s soul and celebrates it in every sip.
The production process: from grape to glass
FlaTío’s passion for excellence is reflected in the meticulous Amarone production process. Carefully selected grapes are left to wither naturally, concentrating flavors and natural sugars.
Subsequently, these grapes are masterfully vinified, creating a full-bodied and complex wine.
Aging in oak barrels adds further depth and character, ensuring an unforgettable sensory experience.
